FAQ’s

We always welcome visitors and we recommend visiting.  Please contact our center for specifics. We ask that you be mindful of other residents and their needs as you visit your own loved ones.

Physicians generally see residents upon admission (within the first 72 hours). Follow-up visits will depend on your medical condition and be determined by your attending physician at the Center. However, our nursing professionals are in constant contact with all of the physicians that visit the facility. Check with our nursing staff for further information.

Once the physician following you at our facility approves your medication order, it will be placed with the pharmacy and delivered via courier. If you require a medication prior to delivery, our nursing department will consult with your physician and it may be available sooner. Controlled substances require a written prescription prior to being processed and delivered by the pharmacy. Please direct any questions to your nurse and understand there is no pharmacy onsite.

Within 24 hours the therapy department will be in to speak with you. Your therapy schedule depends on each individuals’ needs and diagnoses.

Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 8:30 am.  Lunch is served between 12:15 and 1:15 pm.  Dinner is served between 5:30 and 6:30 pm.  Meals are provided specific to your physician’s orders.  Your meal will be delivered to your room unless you choose to eat in our main dining room.  Please coordinate your preference and questions with your nurse.

Private telephones are available in each resident room or at the nurses’ station. Wi-Fi Access is available using the Wi-Fi network. The staff can provide the secure password required.

Definitely.  Mail is delivered to patients personally on a daily basis Monday- Saturday.

We have hair stylists available once a week. Please contact the front desk to set up an appointment.

Consistent with the provision of special diets, always consult with the nursing staff before bringing food in. Any food kept in the resident room must be in properly sealed containers.

Bed linens, hospital gowns and towels are provided and laundered by the facility.  There is no charge for personal laundry, however, families may wish to do their loved ones’ laundry, but must ensure laundry is done at least once a week in order to comply with state hygiene regulations.

We recommend approximately five changes of clothing and a pair of comfortable rubber-soled shoes. All articles should be washed, clearly labeled with the resident’s name in permanent ink and entered into the personal inventory log in the medical chart. Other personal items should be marked or engraved for identification. Our staff can help with marking personal items. We advise that residents do not keep valuable jewelry or large amounts of cash in the facility.

Clothing and Laundry Tips:

All personal clothing is washed in an industrial washing machine at a temperature of 180-degrees. Make sure your loved ones’ clothing is appropriate for washing and drying in these hot temperatures. Clothing that requires cold or warm water or special care is subject to damage and fading.  All clothing must be labeled.  Residents can expect up to a 48-hour return on any items of laundry done at the facility.  Questions may be directed to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Our Rehabilitation Center has a vibrant atmosphere with dynamic, individualized activities that match the capabilities and needs of residents and their guests. We also have active resident and family councils and volunteer programs. Scheduled activities include music, fitness activities, religious meetings, outside entertainment, games, field trips/outings and volunteer involvement. If you would like to arrange something special or have suggestions and ideas for individual or group activities, please inform our activities director. We welcome and encourage involvement from family and friends. You will find a calendar of events posted in your room.

Please check with the facility staff for current visitation policies.  Friends and family are welcome. If the room is shared, we ask that you be respectful of the roommate.

You may reserve the dining room or other available space for any special event (birthday, holidays, meals).  These reservations are made through the Activities Director.  Time and space are limited.

Residents may have a leave of absence only with MD authorization, which can be arranged through the nursing staff. The resident or responsible party upon arrival and departure must sign the LOA (leave of absence) book, located at the nursing stations.
